Francis Jones, DDS, MBA, FACD, FICD

Dr. Jones is a Full Time Faculty member of University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dental Medicine since 2005.  He is Attending faculty member to UCLA/Harbor Medical Center GPR/Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Department, and Adjunct Associate Professor College of Oral Health Sciences, University of Technology, Kingston, Jamaica.  He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD) and the American College of Dentists (FACD). He has been surgically placing implants since 1991.

His  education is consists of   BA,  San Jose State University,  DDS,  Meharry Medical College ,  Graduate Prosthodontics USC,  Loma Linda University Hospital Based Implant Dentistry Program, MBA Cal State Dominquez Hills (2002), He is past Director,  Division of Continuing Education at UNLV ,  Co-Course Director Implant Dentistry (UNLV), past Clinical Coordinator of Implant Dentistry (UNLV), and the Director of University Implant Educators.  Dr. Jones has been the Chair of the Implant Dentistry Section of ADEA (American Dental Education Assn-Assn of US/Canadian Universities), sits on many educational committees for Implant Dentistry Organizations, and editorial board of peer reviewed implant dentistry journals.

He is a member of Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American College of Prosthodontics, International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  Dr. Jones' primary research interests are recombinant bone therapy in enhancing bone regeneration for implant placement. His primary academic interests are the development of educational pipeline programs that create inclusion of disadvantaged students form economically challenged and minority backgrounds into the healthcare professions.
